November 29, 2019 - The Ice Fog
Wow, what a weird phenomenon! What we had today was a fog made up of tiny ice crystals.
The view from the back porch of the rental house, looking northwest. As you can see, each twig and pine needle has a coating of white powder. This is where the ice fog settled out.
Some tall grass at the local Whole Foods. Each little tuft of the seed heads is individually coated.
Here’s a close up of a tree against a nice dark background. Now you can really see how each tiny twig has it’s own white coat.
